A Musical Legacy & Global Career
Born in Ukraine, GéNIA was taught piano by her great-grandmother, Regina Horowitz, sister of the legendary pianist Vladimir Horowitz. After attending the Special School for Gifted Children, and The Institute of Arts in her native Kharkiv, Ukraine, she later trained at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and Trinity College of Music, making her London debut in the prestigious Park Lane Group Young Artist Series.
Her career as a concert pianist and composer has taken her to renowned venues such as Wigmore Hall, Barbican, Southbank Centre, Olympia, Kings Place, St John’s Smith Square, and St Martin-in-the-Fields, with performances across the UK, Europe, and the USA.

Her music is regularly played on Classic FM, BBC Radio 2, BBC London Radio, and even in Caffè Nero branches worldwide, where she is the company’s featured classical artist.
Recording Career & Releases
GéNIA has released multiple critically acclaimed albums, showcasing her unique blend of classical, contemporary, and cinematic piano music. She has recorded for prestigious labels such as Blackbox, Nonclassical and Chappell, as well as through her own independent label, GéNIA Music.
Celebrity Coach & Performance Specialist
As an elite performance coach, GéNIA is sought after by actors, musicians, and media personalities, preparing them for film roles, stage performances, and high-pressure public appearances. Her coaching integrates Piano-Yoga® techniques to help clients develop confidence, enhance their stage presence, and optimise their physical and mental approach to performance.
Her expertise has made her a trusted mentor for those needing rapid yet lasting results, whether for film work, live concerts, or major industry events.
The Birth of Piano-Yoga®
While refining her own performance techniques, GéNIA recognised the physical and mental challenges pianists face—tension, strain, and stage anxiety among them. This led her to train as a yoga teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga while developing Piano-Yoga®, blending classical technique with breathwork, posture alignment, and body awareness.
Her first book, Transform Your Hands: A Complete Ten-Week Course of Piano Exercises, has helped pianists worldwide develop strength, flexibility, and injury-free technique. Her online courses and masterclasses continue to expand the reach of Piano-Yoga®, helping pianists of all levels achieve greater ease and expression.
