‘I am delighted to announce that I have finally published the second part of my 'Transform Your Hands: A Complete 10 Week Course": Stage 1 Core Piano-Yoga® for Small Hands (The Preliminary Stage, Foundation Piano-Yoga® was published last month). These were the exercises I originally created for myself, which enabled me to play the famous Rachmaninoff ‘Variations on a Theme of Paganini’ with my small hands. Now you will be able to do them with me at any time or any place. I hope that this will enable you to expand your piano repertoire, and play the pieces you always wanted to, but could not play before!’ GéNIA
As the second instalment in her 'Transform Your Hands' video series, GéNIA presents a new seven-day challenge - 'Core Piano-Yoga® for Small Hands.'
In this video course, GéNIA shows, in real-time, the exercises presented in her book 'Transform Your Hands.' By participating in this course, you have the opportunity to practise alongside GéNIA and receive guidance and direction in real time. The seven exercises featured in the course are all based on different seventh chords, but are graded so that the stretch is introduced gradually, with the most difficult exercise presented as the final exercise.
This course is especially beneficial for pianists who have always wanted to tackle certain pieces of music but felt inhibited by the size of their hands. By practising these exercises, you hand will become more flexible and your span may even increase!
By subscribing, you will also gain access to GéNIA's 'Transform Your Hands: Foundation Stage' 14-Day Video Course. This unique hand and finger workout helps increase the strength of the muscles in your hands and also prepares you for the work presented in this seven-day course.
The method is available on a subscription basis from Vimeo at the fee of £5.21 per month. Once purchased, the course is available for streaming on your desktop, iPad and iPhone, Apple TV, Roku, and Chromecast. You can cancel your subscription at any time.
Happy practising!
